Hollywood will best remember 2017 for the abuse scandal which engulfed the industry, with victims alleging decades of sexual misconduct and discrimination by some of Tinseltown's most powerful movie figures.

Foremost in the revelations was Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein, who was the subject of a New York Times investigation into allegations of sexual harassment.

Following that article, actress Rose McGowan tweeted that she had been raped by Weinstein and a flood of allegations against the producer followed from women who claimed he subjected them to everything from pestering to sexual assault.

Weinstein was fired by the company he founded and as his erstwhile friends abandoned him, the accusations continued to flow, taking in the likes of Kevin Spacey and Louis CK.

2017 also saw some of the biggest names get back in the game and others break new ground. Here's the key moments in a year of showbusiness.
