An Alanis Morissette musical based around her seminal album Jagged Little Pill is heading to Broadway.
Named after the Grammy-winning 1995 record, the show will start at the famous New York theatre district in the autumn.
It comes after a sold-out 10-week run at the not-for-profit American Repertory theatre in Massachusetts in 2018.
Morissette posted details of the show on Instagram and on her Twitter page, saying she was "beyond excited".
The musical includes hits such as Ironic, You Oughta Know and Hand In My Pocket, as well as new material by Morissette and the multiplatinum-selling album's co-writer, Glen Ballard.
It is said to be "inspired by the themes and emotions laid bare" in Jagged Little Pill, which has sold more than 33 million copies worldwide, making it one of the biggest-selling albums of all time.
The musical, directed by Diane Paulus and with an original story by Diablo Cody who wrote Juno, tells the story of apparent picture-perfect family the Healys, whose lives are disrupted by a series of disturbing events.
Morissette is one of a number of rock and pop stars to try their hand at Broadway, including Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Billy Joel and Cyndi Lauper.
No details of the theatre or specific dates have been revealed, but fans are being urged to sign up for details by 11 February to find out first.
