A British soldier has died from a "non-battle injury" in Estonia, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
Private Reece Miller was serving with the army as part of an 800-strong deployment sent to the country earlier this year.
It has not been confirmed how the 29-year-old died.
In a statement, the MoD said: "It is with great sadness that the British Army must confirm the death of Private Reece Miller from the 1st Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment (1 Yorks) as a result of a non-battle injury while serving in Estonia.
"The incident is currently under investigation.
"Out thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time."
Pte Miller's friends and colleagues have been leaving tributes on the regiment's Facebook page.
His commanding officer said the regiment was "truly devastated" and paid tribute to his "hard work, grit and infectious sense of humour".
"He was the very epitome of the formidable Yorkshire soldier and just the sort of bloke you want in your regiment," he said.
"The bonds of friendship and of professionalism within our regiment are forged by people such as Reece.
"He was one of those unsung heroes whose maturity and life experience allowed him to mentor and guide the men around him who he cared for deeply.
