Four people have died and around 30 people were injured after a tour bus crashed near Bryce Canyon in Utah.
The highway patrol confirmed a number of the wounded were in a critical condition following the incident on the State Route 12.
A spokesman said the passengers were Chinese-speaking tourists.
Photos from the Garfield County Sheriff's Office showed the top of a white bus severely damaged and one side peeling away.
The cause of the crash, which occurred at about 11.30am local time is under investigation, but weather did not appear to be a factor, state highway patrol and Garfield County sheriff's department officials said.
It happened near a rest stop around seven miles (11km) from the park entrance.
