Cannabis farm 'worth 拢1.1m' seized in drugs raid in Aberdeenshire

A cannabis farm with a reported street value of 拢1.1m has been seized in a drugs raid in Aberdeenshire.

Police Scotland said officers were alerted to a possible cultivation at a property in the Auchterless area near Turriff last Tuesday.

The force said a "large-scale operation" was discovered following a search and a man was arrested and charged in connection with the find.

Suspect Nerijus Jurgaitis, 38, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court last week where he was accused of producing and supplying a controlled drug.

Jurgaitis, of Aberdeenshire, made no plea to the two charges and was released on bail.

His next court appearance is yet to be confirmed.
