Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has filed for a restraining order against a woman he says is stalking him.
Martin, 42, says the woman believes she is in a romantic relationship with him and is endangering the safety of his family.
According to legal documents filed in Los Angeles, the woman left a package at Martin's house in Malibu, California, and notes referring to death, suicide and Martin's children Apple, 14, and Moses, 12.
Martin has listed the children as needing protection from the woman.
He also listed his partner, actress and model Dakota Johnson, but not his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, who is mother to Apple and Moses.
Martin says in the legal documents that he understands he is famous and has fans but that this particular woman is overly aggressive and he has become increasingly worried, according to The Blast.
Martin's security guard supports his claims.
The case will be heard in court next month but, until then, Martin has been granted a temporary restraining order, meaning the woman must stay at least 100 yards (91 metres) away from him.
Martin split with Paltrow in 2014 after 10 years of marriage, and has been with Johnson, 29, since late 2017.
