Coronation flypast route: Slimmed down display due to bad weather

A six-minute flypast was due to delight viewers after the coronation of the King and Queen - but it will now last less than three minutes.

More than 60 aircraft were meant to soar over London in a flypast to mark the coronation of the King and Queen - but the weather isn't playing ball.

This story is now out of date

The jets will fly over Buckingham Palace at 2.30pm - but it won't be the full fleet.

The Red Arrows and helicopters will take part - but not the historic Spitfires from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as originally planned.

The original route was set to be over parts of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex on the way to London.

The planes were due to go over parts of Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire.

So what will you actually see and where?

Sadly, the six-minute spectacle will now only last two minutes and thirty seconds, so you have to be quick to catch it.

The flypast route was split into zones, each with a time slot when airspace is restricted - this is the period when the planes were due to be overhead.

But we don't know what the last-minute change means for the route.

This is what the route was meant to be:
