The wife of a former soldier has told Sky News she's so concerned about the lack of protective equipment for carers that she won't allow people into their house to help her husband.
Elaine, 70, and Michael, 75, who asked for their surname not to be used, are from Northamptonshire and they've been married for 25 years.
She is his carer. He has dementia, prostate cancer, diabetes, a kidney tumour and is showing signs of Parkinson's.
Elaine had some help with her husband before COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus.
Now she is caring for him entirely by herself and in isolation because she is so worried about the spread of the disease.
She said: "It was too riAG百家乐在线官网. I was unsure who the carers were mixing with. I had to make the decision that no one would come in the house so I could keep Michael totally safe.
"Sometimes I'll sit in the bath and I'll cry. Michael can't take it on board if I cry. He doesn't know what to do if I cry. I think 'I can't take this anymore I can't go on'."
Michael used to attend the Glamis Hall Day Centre which has had to temporarily close. Its staff are instead now going into the community to deliver meals to people who used to come to the centre.
We spoke to day centre manager Ali Hill, who said she understands Elaine's fears.
Ali said they are doing everything they can to take safety precautions but they were waiting for face masks to be delivered.

She said even without them she would continue taking food to vulnerable people who were unable to cook for themselves, like 91-year-old Les who she delivered lunch and some food to for Easter.
She said: "As we know a virus takes no prisoners and we, you, could potentially unwillingly take it from one household to another. But I couldn't not bring Les his lunch today because I don't have a face mask. The job still needs doing regardless."
