A woman who claims she was trafficked to Prince Andrew for sex when she was a teenager has been taken to hospital with suspected coronavirus.

Virginia Roberts-Giuffre posted a photograph of herself on Twitter in a hospital bed wearing a mask and wrote: "I'm so scared right now, having trouble breathing, fever & cough," she explained.

"Getting tested for COVID-19 praying it's not positive."

Mrs Roberts-Giuffre thanked her followers for their prayers and added: "I just hate hospitals, have had quite a few bad experiences in my time."

It comes months after her accusations about the duke, which saw him step down from royal duties.

The prince has strenuously denied he had "any form of sexual contact or relationship" with Mrs Roberts-Giuffre, adding "any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation".

Then known as Virginia Roberts, she says she was brought to London aged 17 by Jeffrey Epstein and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell in 2001 and was introduced to Prince Andrew.
