England has added Estonia and Latvia to its travel quarantine list - meaning that those arriving from these countries will need to self-isolate for 14 days, the transport secretary said.

Grant Shapps has also announced that the total travel ban on Denmark announced on 7 November - in response to a COVID-19 outbreak on mink farms - will be lifted from 4am on Saturday 28 November.

However the Scandinavian country will still remain on the UK's quarantine list.

Mr Shapps has said that those travelling back from Mongolia, Aruba, Bhutan and Timor-Leste - as well as specific Pacific Islands - will not have to self-isolate from 4am on 28 November too.

A week ago, Israel, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Namibia and Rwanda were also made exempt from the isolation rules.

From 15 December, those arriving from quarantine-list countries will be required to stay at home for five days, during which they will be able to take a COVID-19 test.

If tests come back negative, self-isolation can end early.
