Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field are reportedly in talks to become X Factor judges.

The former boyband member and American actress would replace current judges Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, it is believed.

If they make it onto the panel, they would become the first husband-and-wife team to judge on the show.

The pair, who have been married since 2009, are preparing to sign a £10m deal with the ITV show, according to the Daily Mirror.

Field, who previously starred in US soap Days Of Our Lives, is now a regular panellist on daytime chat show Loose Women.

Sharon Osborne takes a smaller role as three new judges are to be announced following a shake-up on the music show.

He said he would now focus on "another series of Ireland's Got Talent, going back to my day job as a manager, writing my memoirs and seeing the world".

Sharon Osbourne will also have a smaller role, with show bosses describing the shake-up as "the start of a new era".
