Four-year-old girl dies and boy, three, in critical condition after crash on M4 motorway

A four-year-old girl has died and a three-year-old boy remains in a critical condition following a crash on the M4 near Newport on Saturday.
Gwent Police is appealing for dashcam footage and information about the fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a van.
It happened on the M4 westbound, between junction 28 and 29, at about 1.45pm.
All four people inside the car were taken to hospital.
The force subsequently confirmed the girl killed was aged four and the boy in a critical condition is a three-year-old.
A woman remains in hospital in a stable condition and a man has been released.
A 41-year-old van driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He is also accused of two offences of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is due to appear before Newport Magistrates Court today, police said.
