Games Of Thrones star Maisie Williams wants to test herself as a performer and take to the stage when the show is finished.

The actress who made her name as Arya Stark in the fantasy series said she would love to do theatre to further progress her skill set as an actor.

Speaking ahead of the release of the Aardman Animation Early Man, the star's first voice role, she said: "I want to just jump at all opportunities and I've been lucky that so far I've had a lot of different opportunities presented to me.

"After doing this and really working on my voice I would love to do theatre.

"It would be wonderful to constantly stay inside my comfort zone but I think I owe it to myself just keep pushing myself and wanting to do more different things and new and exciting things."

The actress admitted she found the voice work for Early Man, which is released later this month, far harder than she first thought.

She said: "I came in for my first recording session and I remember coming out being wildly disappointed in myself and thinking I did the worst job ever.

"I left and I called my mum and was like 'you know mum, I think it's just something that I'm not very good at'."

Game Of Thrones is not returning to screens until 2019 which means the star has to conceal the secrets of the final series for at least another year.

Williams said watching the final series would be better than her spilling the ending's secrets anyway.

She said: "It is (a long time) but I've never worried about it because I know that people don't really want secrets and I don't think that I've ever really struggled with it because people think that they want to know everything but as soon as they do it's just underwhelming.

"Also I'm thrilled because it's prolonging my final year on the show. I want it to last forever."

As well as wanting to take to the stage when the series ends, Williams has revealed she will be bridesmaid for her co-star and on-screen sister Sophie Turner, who is to marry singer Joe Jonas.
