A 14-year-old girl believed to have been abducted from her bedroom in Virginia is in "extreme danger", US authorities say.
An amber alert has been issued and a huge manhunt is under way to find Isabel Shae Hicks and her suspected abductor, 33-year-old Bruce William Lynch Jr.
The Louisa County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that Lynch is feared to be carrying a handgun and has had suicidal thoughts.
A felony abduction warrant has been issued for Lynch and he is being considered armed and dangerous.
Isabel vanished at about 1am on Monday from her home in Bumpass.
Detective Chuck Love told Sky News affiliate NBC that Isabel was last seen by her sister in their shared bedroom.
Isabel's sibling woke up later in the morning to find her sister gone and told her parents, who contacted the police.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation to find the missing teenager and has urged anyone who sees the pair to call authorities immediately and not approach them.
The pair are believed to be travelling in a silver-blue 2003 Toyota Matrix and may have left the state of Virginia.
Camping gear was reported missing from Lynch's home and they could be staying in areas where they can camp.
Mr Love told NBC News that the sheriff's office had received a large number of tip-offs but Isabel and Lynch have still not been found.
During a press conference on Thursday, Isabel's brother begged for her return, saying: "We miss you very much and we want you to come home. I love you forever... I just need my best friend back."
Isabel has been described as 4ft 11ins with long, straight blonde hair and blue eyes.
Lynch is 5ft 11ins with brown hair, brown eyes and cross tattoos on both upper arms.
