Girl, 15, in critical condition after being stabbed in the neck in County Armagh

Police say another teenager is helping them with their inquiries after the incident in the town of Lurgan on Friday evening.

A 15-year-old girl is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in the neck in County Armagh, police have said.

The teenager was in the Deans Walk area of Lurgan when the incident happened at about 9pm on Friday.

Another teenager is helping police with inquiries.

The street was closed by police.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokeswoman said the teenager's condition was "critical".

Officers are appealing for witnesses.
