A security guard has been found dead in a tent at the Glastonbury music festival.

The man, in his 60s, was discovered at 5pm on Sunday - the day after the site sizzled on the hottest day of the year.

He had been working night shifts for G4S, and the company said his next of kin had been informed.

The man is not believed to have collapsed because of the heat, and his death is not being treated as suspicious, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The security guard had not been working in the 24 hours before his death, and a coroner has been informed.
