Inverness man accused of murdering mother and attempting to kill father
Thomas Fraser appeared before Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, where he was accused of murder as well as assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.

A man has appeared in court accused of murdering his mother and attempting to murder his father in a knife attack in Inverness.
Emergency crews were called to the city's Craigton Avenue at about 7.30pm on Sunday following reports of two injured people at a house.
A 55-year-old man and 52-year-old Miriam MacDonald were taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Ms MacDonald died on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The family have asked for privacy as they come to terms with the death."
Thomas Fraser, 30, was arrested and charged by the force in connection with the incident.
Fraser appeared before Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, where he was accused of murder as well as assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.

Fraser, of Inverness, made no plea to the two charges and was remanded in custody.
He is due back in the dock within the next week.
