Judge warns Price is 'in very grave danger of going to prison' as new court date given

The court agrees the case will now be heard at the Crown Court on 25 May, at Price's request.

Before the end of the proceedings, the judge turns to Price with a stern warning.

She says the children caught up in the affair are having to witness "very ugly squabbles", calling on those involved to "behave like adults".

It will be a condition of Price's bail that she continues to have no contact with Ms Penticost other than for the purposes of handing over her children to her ex-husband - and then there must be "no discussing or talking".

"You are in very grave danger of going to prison," the judge warns Price, adding: "I really hope I don't see you here again."

Price called ex-husband's fiancee 'gutter s***' and 'c* w****', court hears

The prosecution alleges Katie Price sent a message to her ex-husband Kieran Hayler, describing his fiancee Michelle Penticost as a "gutter s***" and "cg w****".

The text was apparently sent after Price became aware of an Instagram post put up by Ms Penticost about how she had been treated badly by other people and how to deal with it.

Ms Penticost said the post was not related to Price, the prosecution says.

The court hears the model later sent messages to members of her family saying she had sent a text to her ex-husband.

"I sent that to Kieran lol," one of the messages read.

A family member then told her not to send any more messages, the prosecution says.

When arrested on 21 January, the court hears Price "made several comments saying she had done nothing wrong" and stating she had not contacted Ms Penticost directly and did not have her phone number.

The defence is asked what argument they are expected to make, and say they will be challenging the charge on mental health grounds.

Katie Price pleads not guilty to harassment

Asked to enter her plea before the court, the TV personality says she is not guilty of indirectly contacting Michelle Penticost on 3 June 2019.

Star could face up to five years in prison

Breaching a protection order - such as a restraining order - carries a maximum prison term of five years.

Katie Price also risks prison time for being arrested while on licence for her drink-drive crash last year.

The TV personality managed to avoid prison time for the crash, instead being handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year and a two-year driving ban.

If a person breaches the terms of their licence, they can be recalled to prison for the length of their suspended sentence.

However, in sentencing the court will usually focus on the new crime and take the original term into consideration as an aggravating feature.

If convicted, this could potentially see Price jailed for up to five years with the 16 weeks either running concurrently or on top of the main sentence.

Michelle Penticost

Mr Hayler began dating flight attendant Michelle Penticost in 2018 and they got engaged over a year ago.

Much of her private life has been kept under wraps.

What is Katie Price being charged with?

The model and TV star has been accused of breaching a restraining order granted to her ex-husband Kieran Hayler's fiancee.

Price could face a maximum of five years in prison.

She allegedly sent an abusive text to Mr Hayler's partner, Michelle Penticost, and was arrested on 21 January before spending the night in a cell.

Ms Penticost was granted a five-year restraining order against Price in 2019 following a confrontation outside their children's primary school.

Price was said to have approached Ms Penticost at the school gates in August 2018, telling her: "You can kiss my daughter but you can't say hello."

The reality star later pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment.

Price has since been banned from making contact with Ms Penticost.
