A mum and toddler were treated in hospital after liquid was thrown over them in a supermarket car park in Leeds.

Police were called at around 7.16pm on Saturday after reports that liquid had been thrown over a 28-year-old female and her two-year-old child in the Lidl car park on Oak Tree Walk, Gipton.

Paramedics and the fire service attended and the fire service carried out tests on the liquid.

The liquid was found not to be corrosive and is believed to have been anti-freeze.
