A 20-year-old man has pleaded guilty to murdering his brother in South Wales.

Tyler Lindley admitted murdering his 22-year-old sibling Cameron Lindley at a house in Treforis, near Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, on 8 September last year.

He appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Thursday via video link to enter his guilty plea. He had previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder.

Tyler Lindley, from Cimla, Neath, was initially remanded into custody at Swansea Prison but has been moved to a mental health unit.

Defence barrister Ignatius Hughes KC said psychiatric reports show the defendant's mental health "played a role" in the murder.

Judge Paul Thomas told the court that "there can only be one sentence here, and that's a sentence of life imprisonment".
