A man who rammed a police car twice and led officers on a dangerous pursuit through country roads has been jailed.
Shady Coates, 36, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday following the incident in February.
Norfolk Police said they started following the car after being alerted by a witness to a vehicle linked to two burglaries.
Dash cam footage showed police catching up with the car at a supermarket in Fakenham, where two passengers fled the vehicle.
Coates, who was driving, then reversed, ramming into the police car before leading officers on a 20-minute chase through the country roads.
Police said the pursuit was abandoned as the vehicle entered the grounds of Taverham Hall School, but did not give any more details.
However, the car was later found crashed with several stolen items found nearby, which had been thrown over a hedge.
Coates was later identified by police and arrested on 24 April.
He was jailed for 16 months and given a 40-month driving ban for burglary, dangerous driving, driving with no insurance and disqualified driving.
All of the stolen property, apart from one rucksack, was recovered and returned to its owners.
