A man who fell into a cement mixer while he was cleaning it has been cut free by firemen.
Photographs of the incident in County Durham show rescue teams using cutting equipment on the drum of the mixer.
"It appears he slipped inside the mixer when he was cleaning it," said a spokeswoman for the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service.
"Under his own weight, he fell on his leg and was not able to climb out."
After two hours the worker was eventually freed and removed from the industrial mixer on a stretcher before being taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Durham.
He was released after treatment.
The incident happened at Hamsteels Lane in Quebec, County Durham at about 11.45pm on Monday morning.
