That's all for tonight

That is the end of our live coverage of Manchester City's celebrations.

If you're a fan braving the rain in Manchester, enjoy the rest of the event.

Good night.

Manchester City players celebrate on stage

Jack Grealish is among the players celebrating on stage. Earlier he was asked if he had lost his voice, and he said he didn't think he had slept since the team's historic win.

Tough questions for manager Pep

Sky's north of England correspondent Shingi Mararike says Manchester City's manager is being asked about...Oasis.

Grealish: 'I don't think I've slept'

The Manchester City players are now being introduced on the stage in front of thousands of fans.

Jack Grealish is given a chance with the microphone and says: "Basically over the past 24 hours, I've had the best... I don't think I've slept."

Other players are dancing and hugging each other as the crowd celebrates the team's triumphant season.

Weather challenges players for starring role of the night

The footballers have been the stars of tonight's show but the weather has also played a big part.

Manchester is covered by a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms until 9pm tonight, the Met Office says.

Our live feed shows that the rain is still pouring down and in this photo a fan makes the best of the puddles.

Guardiola's cigar is surely rather soggy by now...

The manager didn't seem to mind the pouring rain.

And speaking of people who aren't put off by the rain, there's the fans too...

Manchester City 'one of the best' teams English football has seen

Former Manchester City boss Joe Royle says Pep Guardiola's current side is "one of, if not the best" that English football has seen.

Royle, 74, led City from the third tier to the Premier League after back-to-back promotions in 1999 and 2000.

He told the PA news agency: "There's no doubt about it. They're one of, if not the best English club side there has been.

"They've got to be talked of as one of them. They can play off the cuff or play in various systems and they can counter very quickly.

"They've got world-class individuals, they've got the team ethic and they've got a very, very strong squad, covering every position."

Guardiola's City have been crowned English champions in five of the last six seasons, but after finally topping the Champions League, Royle is not sure if they will dominate Europe in a similar manner.

"Football is a season-by-season game isn't it?" he added. "Certainly anyone who finishes ahead of them next season, in England or Europe, is going to be doing very well.

"The money has been spent very well. They've generally bought very well. It's one thing having money and another thing using it wisely and City have been very good at that."
