The half-brother of the Duchess of Sussex has been arrested in the US.
Thomas Wayne Markle Jr is facing a drink-driving charge after he was arrested in Oregon, state police have said.
Officers said he was visibly intoxicated when he was pulled over in the early hours of Friday in Josephine County.
The 52-year-old's blood-alcohol content was 0.11%, above the legal limit of 0.08%.
He was taken to a detox centre, authorities said.
Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in May and they are expecting their first child in the spring.
Days before the wedding, Mr Markle urged Prince Harry to cancel his wedding, claiming it would be the "biggest mistake in royal wedding history".
Mr Markle, who has not spoken to the duchess for seven years, had said in the handwritten letter that his half-sister was acting the "part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress".
Just before Christmas, Meghan's father Thomas Markle Sr, 74, told ITV's Good Morning Britain he had been texting her every day but she will not return any of his messages.
Mr Markle Sr also voiced hopes that Queen Elizabeth would step in to fix the situation.
The father-of-three, who is not in touch with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, did not attend his daughter's wedding as he was recovering from heart surgery.
He became the subject of controversy after it was revealed that he had staged photographs with the paparazzi in return for money a few days prior to the wedding, something he said he had "apologised 100 times for".
