Newent: Two people arrested after death of baby girl

Two people have been arrested by police on suspicion of murder after the death of a baby girl.
They were held by detectives from Gloucestershire Police after the four-month-old baby died in hospital.
The child was first admitted in a serious condition to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Easter Sunday and was later transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital.
The baby was from the town of Newent in Gloucestershire and was in hospital for six days before she died on 18 April.
A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Police said: "Today, two people have been arrested in connection with the investigation into her death and remain in police custody.
"The two people were arrested on suspicion of murder."
