Nottinghamshire: Man detained under Mental Health Act after controlled explosion on suspicious package
Residents had been evacuated as a precaution, with many now returning. A smaller cordon is still in place as work continues to make a second suspicious package safe.

A man has been detained under the Mental Health Act following a controlled explosion on a suspicious package in Nottinghamshire.
Officers evacuated people from their homes after discovering two packages in Lenton on Friday night.
Following the explosion in Maxwell Court, Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the package posed no risk to the public, with teams still assessing the second in nearby Allington Avenue.
Many of those affected were students, who were given temporary accommodation by the city's universities, while families stayed with relatives and friends.
A reduced cordon is still in place, but many residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
"We'd like to thank all those who took in friends and neighbours who were displaced," Superintendent Jon Foy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said.
"Specialist search teams remain in the area as work continues to make the remaining package safe."
