Police are on the hunt for an escaped prisoner who fled while on escort in Edinburgh.
The inmate made their getaway from prison staff at around 5pm on Wednesday.
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) said police were called "immediately" following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware that an individual escaped from the custody of prison staff, while on escort in Edinburgh, at around 5pm yesterday."

The force would not confirm what areas of the capital officers were searching, but added that "enquiries are ongoing".
