According to reports, the driver of the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts van realised that smoke was billowing from the carriage as he drove through Lexington.
He escaped unscathed and the fire brigade was able to extinguish the blaze, video of which was posted to Facebook by local news channel Lex 18.
