Prince Philip has been moved back to King Edward VII's Hospital following a "successful procedure" for a pre-existing heart condition.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: "Following The Duke of Edinburgh's successful procedure at St Bartholomew's Hospital on Wednesday, His Royal Highness has been transferred to King Edward VII's Hospital this morning. The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for continuing treatment for a number of days."
The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to King Edward VII's Hospital 18 days ago for an infection.
He was later transferred to St Bartholomew's, which has a specialist cardiac centre, for treatment for a pre-existing heart problem.
The exact reason for his initial admission was not disclosed, but it was not related to coronavirus.
He was visited by his eldest son the Prince of Wales four days after his initial admission.
Charles had made a 200-mile round trip and stayed for around 30 minutes.
The Queen, 94, has remained at Windsor Castle, west of London, where the couple have been staying during the coronavirus pandemic, and has continued to carry out her official duties by video.
The Queen and Prince Philip have been joined by a reduced household of staff dubbed HMS Bubble.

The Duke of Edinburgh will likely be in hospital when Harry and Meghan's highly-anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey is broadcast on US television on Sunday night.
It will be shown at 9pm on ITV in the UK the following day.
The Duchess of Sussex says it is "really liberating" to be "able to make a choice on your own" in the latest teaser clip of the interview.
A PR expert has described the timing of the interview as "horrendous".
Public relations and crisis consultant Mark Borkowski warned Harry and Meghan are at risk of a "real reputational mess" if they go ahead with the broadcast while Philip is in hospital.
