Princess Charlotte will attend Willcocks Nursery School in London from January, Kensington Palace has announced.
The nursery, which is close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Kensington Palace apartment, has said it is "looking forward to welcoming Charlotte" next year.
Willcocks - which has been rated by Ofsted as "outstanding" - describes itself as "a traditional nursery school" and is located in the church hall of Holy Trinity Church in Kensington.
One parent testimonial on the school website describes the teachers as "kind" and "encouraging", adding that they help the pupils to become "the most well behaved, caring, sharing and cheerful children you could ever hope to find".
Activities enjoyed by the pupils include garden play, cooking, painting and music time, with each child's development monitored by an allocated member of staff.
Fees to attend the school start at £1,800 a term, with classes running for two hours during the afternoon, three days a week.
The new adventure for Charlotte - who is fourth in line to the throne - will come just months before William and Kate welcome a new arrival into the family, with their third child due in April.
In September, Charlotte's older brother, Prince George, started at Thomas's Battersea, a fee-paying independent school in south London.
The four-year-old was dropped off on his first day by his dad, who described the event as "slightly chaotic".
Kate was unable to go with him due to severe morning sickness caused by a rare condition called , which she also suffered from during her first two pregnancies.
The condition usually passes after the first 16 weeks of pregnancy.
As well as announcing Charlotte's nursery, the royal couple also released a new family photo, with all four family members smartly dressed in shades of pale blue.
The picture, which will feature on the front of the family Christmas card, shows William standing behind his son, with his hands on the animated young prince's shoulders.
Kate stands behind a cheeky looking Charlotte, who appears to be leaning on her mum's legs for support.
The official photo was taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson at Kensington Palace earlier in the year, ahead of the announcement of Kate's third pregnancy.
