From the venue and the bridal car to some of the famous faces among the guests, there were certainly plenty of familiar sights to be found at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle played host to the ceremony, just five months after it provided a fitting backdrop for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
And it was not the first royal wedding for Eugenie's mode of transport to the chapel, either.
The luxurious 1977 Rolls Royce Phantom VI she rode in with her father, the Duke of York, was the same one that took the Duchess of Cambridge to Westminster Abbey for her wedding to Prince William in April 2011.
It has been in the Royal Family for years, having been presented to the Queen by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders to mark her silver jubilee in 1978.
Once Eugenie stepped out of her car and made her way up the steps of the chapel, she carried with her a wedding bouquet that may also have caught the eye of eagle-eyed royal fans.
Created by Patrice Van Helden Oakes, the collection of flowers included sprigs of myrtle from Osbourne House, which have been a tradition of royal weddings since Queen Victoria. She was given a nosegay containing myrtle by Prince Albert's grandmother during a visit to Gotha in Germany.
That same year, Victoria and Prince Albert bought Osborne House as a family retreat, and a sprig from the posy was planted against the terrace walls, where it continues to thrive today.
It was first carried by Victoria's eldest daughter, Princess Victoria, when she married in 1858.
With weddings being such nervous affairs, Eugenie will have been relieved to call upon the experience of Prince George and Princess Charlotte in her bridal party.
The young royals had the same roles at the wedding of their uncle Prince Harry to Meghan, and appeared to feel right at home as they waved to the crowds upon their arrival.
George and Charlotte were not the only attendees to return from the first royal wedding of the year.
Alongside the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Harry and Meghan returned having married at the same chapel five months earlier.
There were also plenty of celebrities making their return to Windsor.
Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy was among the congregation again, as was singer James Blunt and his wife Sofia Wellesley.
Once the ceremony was over, Jack and Eugenie followed the example of Harry and Meghan by going on a carriage procession through some of the nearby streets.
It was not as long as the one undertaken back in May, but still took in Castle Hill, the High Street and Park Street.
The route replicated the one taken by the Earl and Countess of Wessex after their 1999 wedding.
After that, the Queen again lived up to her reputation as the ultimate royal wedding party-thrower by hosting a champagne luncheon and afternoon reception inside St George's Hall.
It promised to be the first of many celebrations for the new couple, with the Duke of York to host a party at the York family home - Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park - on Friday.
There will be another event on Saturday, which one source has said will have a festival feel.
