Sajid Javid has attended his first Cabinet meeting as Home Secretary this morning.
The man who replaced Amber Rudd joined the weekly parade of ministers down Downing Street for a summit from 9.30am.
High on the agenda was the Government's defeat last night in the Lords, where peers handed Parliament new powers to decide the course of action if the final Brexit deal is voted down.
A Downing Street spokesperson said Theresa May told ministers there would be a "robust response".

Mr Javid was thrown into the deep end on Monday, answering a question in Parliament in place of the statement promised by Ms Rudd before she resigned over the weekend.
It means the Bromsgrove MP walked through the doors of Number 10 firmly into his second day in the job.
Afterwards, there were pressing issues to attend to at Marsham House, the Home Office headquarters.
There are at least four leak inquiries into the release of private letters sent to and from Ms Rudd, BuzzFeed News reports.
Ms Rudd has since said she thinks Mr Javid will be an "excellent" Home Secretary.
She did not answer when questioned outside her home if she had fallen on Prime Minister Theresa May's sword.
Mr Javid has also declared plans to put his "own stamp" on the Home Office.
Speaking in the Commons yesterday, he distanced himself from the "hostile environment" phrase notably used by Theresa May during her six-year spell as Home Secretary.
"It's a compliant environment'," he said. "I don't like the phrase 'hostile'.
"So, the terminology, I think, is incorrect and I think it is a phrase that is unhelpful and it doesn't represent our values as a country to use that phrase."
