Scotland have qualified for Euro 2024 after Spain beat Norway 1-0 in their qualifier in Oslo.

The result means Scotland, who have 15 points from six games in qualifying group A, cannot now be caught by Norway, who have 10 with only one game remaining.

A Norway victory would have meant Scotland needed a point from their remaining matches, in Georgia and at home to Norway, next month.

But a second-half goal from Spain's Gavi meant the Scots were mathematically certain to be at next year's tournament in Germany, without kicking a ball.

It means the Scots, who won their first five games in the group, have qualified for a second European Championships in a row, both under coach Steve Clarke.

They were eliminated in the group stages of the 2021 finals, their first Euros tournament since 1996.

Spain, who beat Scotland 2-0 in Seville on Thursday to avenge their defeat by the same scoreline at Hampden Park in March, also made sure of their qualification as they moved to the top of the group on goal difference.

Norway striker Erling Haaland, last season's leading scorer in the Premier League, will not be at the finals next summer.
