A Shetland pony has been rescued after getting stuck in a cattle grid in Powys.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the incident happened early on Tuesday morning.
Local fire and rescue crews from Crickhowell, Pontardawe and Talgarth responded, along with help from Abbey Vets.
Teifi's owner Beth Watkins said in a Facebook post that he got stuck in the cattle grid after a walker "decided to leave a farm gate open".
He was released after a "four hour struggle", Ms Watkins said.
"He received enough sedative to floor an elephant, and tolerated hours of cutting equipment," she added.
Teifi's injuries are said to be "superficial and will heal".

His owner is appealing for walkers to close gates behind them if they walk through private property.
"As you can see, the support we received today was incredible and we can't describe how grateful we are, but this is the fire brigade and the time they spent with us might have been needed elsewhere," Ms Watkins added.
