The mother of twin eight-year-old boys has died after she was shot inside a house - as a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The woman, named locally as Silke Hartshorne-Jones, died in hospital on Sunday after police were called to the house in Barham, near Ipswich, just before 4.45am.
Officers found her with "serious injuries" and she was taken to Ipswich Hospital but died shortly afterwards.
Mrs Hartshorne-Jones, who was in her 40s and a lawyer, lived in a farmhouse in the rural Suffolk village with her husband Peter.
The house remains cordoned off by police and the 51-year-old suspect is in custody.
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "It's a tragedy what's happened.
"We're a close community here."
Mrs Hartshorne-Jones' Linkedin profile says she was a multilingual corporate solicitor who is qualified to practise in Germany as well as England and Wales.
It says she is responsible for "the legal and compliance function" at the firm she works for, and can speak German, English and Italian.
