The Prodigy thank fans for Keith Flint tributes: 'You've kept us going'

Fans continue to commemorate the 49-year-old vocalist - one of the leading music stars of a generation.

The Prodigy have thanked fans for their tributes to lead singer Keith Flint which the band says has "kept us going this week".

Stars and fans have continued to commemorate the 49-year-old vocalist - one of the leading music stars of a generation.

"Thank you people for all the tributes, they have really touched us and kept us going this week," the band wrote on their official Instagram account on Sunday.

The group also posted an image of a graffiti mural of Flint and the word Poison - a reference to one of their hit songs.

They added: "This one is @ellwoodleo, brick lane London Town Massive respect Liam H #theprodigy."

Flint was found dead at his home in Essex on Monday morning. Bandmate Liam Howlett later said he had "taken his own life".

In the wake of his death, Prodigy fans started a campaign to get Firestarter to number one in the UK singles chart to "make sure the fire continues".

But while the official top spot was retained by Lewis Capaldi and Someone You Loved, three of the band's albums returned to the official album chart.

Their Law - The Singles 1990-2005 finished the week at No 13, The Fat of the Land was in 26th place and No Tourists was in the 35th slot.

All nine of the band's albums also featured in this week's official dance albums chart, with five of them making the top five.

The Fat of the Land took the top spot and was followed by Their Law - The Singles 1990-2005, No Tourists, Music For The Jilted Generation and Experience.

The band had been due to tour the US and play at Glastonbury following the release of their seventh album, No Tourists, in 2018, but cancelled all of their upcoming shows following Flint's death.
