Timothee Chalamet 'in talks to play Bob Dylan in new film'
Bob Dylan is reportedly working with director James Mangold to tell the story of one of the most important periods of his life.

Timothee Chalamet is in talks to play Bob Dylan in a new film about the musician, according to reports.
US entertainment site Deadline says the Little Women and Beautiful Boy star will play a young Dylan during his defining period in the mid-60s, when he moved from folk to embrace the electric guitar and recorded the albums Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde On Blonde.
The film will be directed by James Mangold, who is known for Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line and 2020 BAFTA nominee Le Mans '66, it reports.
Dylan is said to be working with Mangold and film studio Fox Searchlight Pictures on the movie.
The working title is reported to be Going Electric, and will be produced in part by Dylan's longtime manager Jeff Rosen, according to US magazine Pitchfork.
If the role is confirmed, it means Chalamet, 24, will follow in the footsteps of stars including Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Christian Bale, who all played different aspects of the singer-songwriter's character in the 2007 film I'm Not There.
In 2005, Martin Scorsese directed the documentary film No Direction Home, tracing the star's rise to fame.
Music biopics have been big winners during awards season over the past few years, with Rami Malek awarded the best actor Oscar in 2019 for his portrayal of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, and Taron Egerton picking up a Golden Globe and a BAFTA nomination this week for his performance as Elton John in Rocketman.
