Police are appealing for witnesses after a car hit another vehicle and overturned, killing its two male occupants.
The dark-coloured Ford Focus was travelling towards Bacup in Lancashire on Todmorden Road when it struck a parked Vauxhall Astra at about 1.35am on Sunday.
The 30-year-old driver and 22-year-old passenger, both from Rochdale, were pronounced dead after being taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Lancashire Police said their families were being supported by specially trained officers.
"We need anyone who may have seen the Ford Focus car leading up to the collision to get in contact with us as they may have vital information that could assist with our investigation," said sergeant Finn Quainton.
He added his "thoughts and condolences" were with friends and loved ones of the two men who died.
