An international rugby player has been fined for travelling at 115mph along a motorway.

Mason Grady, 21, plays as a centre for Cardiff Rugby as well as the Wales national team.

He has made nine appearances for his country after making his debut last year, and has been named on the bench for Sunday's Six Nations match against France at Principality Stadium.

Cardiff Magistrates' Court heard Mr Grady had been travelling along the M4 in a Volkswagen Passat on 19 October 2023.

He was caught travelling at 115mph between junctions 35 and 34 in South Wales, exceeding the national speed limit by 45mph.

Grady entered a guilty plea, which was taken into account prior to sentencing.
