Westminster attack: Five men and three women arrested

Five men and three women arrested in the wake of the deadly Westminster attack have been held on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.
The driver who knocked down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, killing three, before fatally stabbing a policeman has been .
The 52-year-old attacker, who lived in the West Midlands, was British-born and was investigated by MI5 some years ago over concerns of violent extremism.
His birth name was reportedly Adrian Elms.
The eight suspects were detained following raids on three addresses in Birmingham and one in east London.
Properties in Brighton, Carmarthenshire and southeast London have also been searched.
Police said three men, aged 26, 27, and 28, and a 26-year-old woman were arrested at a property in Birmingham.
A 21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were detained at a separate address in the city.
And a 39-year-old woman was held at an address in east London.
All seven arrests were made overnight into Thursday.
Meanwhile, a 58-year-old man was detained at a third property in Birmingham on Thursday morning.
All eight are being held on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts.
