Woman dies on A1 near Dunbar after being hit by vehicle on East Lothian dual carriageway
Emergency services were alerted after the 45-year-old pedestrian was struck between Thistly Cross and Spott roundabouts during the early hours of Monday morning. Police Scotland said the vehicle that struck her did not stop and the driver is yet to contact the force to make a report.

A woman has died after being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop on the A1 in East Lothian.
Emergency services were alerted after the 45-year-old pedestrian was struck on the dual carriageway between Thistly Cross and Spott roundabouts, near Dunbar, at around 2.55am today.
The woman was seriously injured and died at the scene.
Police Scotland said the vehicle that struck her failed to stop and the driver is yet to contact the force to make a report.
Chief Inspector Ben Leathes, area commander for East Lothian, said: "Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing and the victim's family is being supported by our officers."
The road reopened at 3.50pm following collision investigation works.

Chief Inspector Leathes added: "I wish to thank the members of the public who have already contacted us and provided us with copies of dashcam footage, but I ask anyone who was in the area at the time and has not yet come forward to get in touch with police as soon as possible.
"I also now appeal to any motorist that was driving south on the A1 near Dunbar between 2am and 3am and who has not already contacted police to do so now."
