The White House is a "crazytown" ruled by plots, paranoia and power-trips, according to a new book by veteran reporter Bob Woodward.
It describes a dysfunctional administration where aides steal papers to stop them being signed by the president - who they claim has the foreign policy understanding of an 11-year-old.
Mr Trump has strongly denied the claims in the book, dismissing the quotes and stories it contains as "made up frauds, a con on the public", while Defence Secretary James Mattis is also among those who have rubbished its contents.
But other former White House staffers have expressed support for Mr Woodward, who says he has transcripts and tapes to back up the claims in his book.
