Woody Harrelson has been officially cast in a Star Wars spin-off about the adventures of a young Han Solo.
The Hunger Games star will join actors Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke.
"We couldn't be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody," said the film's directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
"His ability to find both humour and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique," they said, adding that he was "also very good at ping pong".
is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, the force behind new Star Wars films Episode VII and Rogue One.
Details of Harrelson's character have not been revealed but Ehrenreich, last seen in the Coen Brother's Hail, Caesar!, will play the young Han Solo.
Oscar-nominated Harrelson has most recently appeared in The Edge Of Seventeen and as Haymitch Abernathy in The Hunger Games series.
He is currently preparing a project of his own, Lost in London.
