Are Britain's abandoned church buildings worth saving?

The Brierley Consultancy estimates that around 6,000 church buildings have closed across the country in the last 60 years. That's a hundred churches closing a year. But what happens to a church building once it's no longer a place of worship? Should it be saved from ruin?
