Defence secretary apologises to LGBT+ community for historic abuse in armed forces
A report released today found LGBT members of the armed forces had suffered sexual abuse, violence and homophobic bullying. The PM previously said the ban on LGBT people serving in the British military until 2000 was an "appalling failure of the British state".
