Ukraine war: Vladimir Putin announces payments for natural gas will be switched to Russian roubles
President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will refuse to use "compromised currencies" in payments for natural gas. But, he stressed the country will continue to supply the energy resource at agreed prices. Russian gas makes up around 40% of Europe's total consumption.
