Biography
Gillian currently presents Sky News at Ten and can be regularly seen across the rest of the output.
She has more than 30 years of broadcast experience starting her career with the BBC in Manchester before working as a reporter and newsreader on BBC Radio 1, the BBC One and Six O鈥檆lock News, Newsnight and the Holiday programme. Gillian also presented the news on BBC Breakfast, BBC London and worked as a presenter for BBC News 24.
Gillian played a major role in Sky's coverage of the aftermath of the 2004 Asian Tsunami, and has reported from locations across the globe including Northern Ireland, South America and Africa.
Gillian covered the Queen's funeral, the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, Margaret Thatcher's funeral and the death of Nelson Mandela.
In 2016, 2020 and 2024 she reported from the US for the presidential elections, and has covered every UK general election since 2001. Most recently Gillian has reported from the war in Ukraine.
