Man charged as double-decker bus roof ripped off in Fauldhouse railway bridge crash

The roof of a double-decker bus was completely torn off after hitting a low railway bridge in West Lothian.
Police Scotland said a 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with the crash and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
The collision occurred on the B7010 in Fauldhouse shortly before 6am on Monday morning.
West Lothian Council shared a picture online of the sheared-off roof and debris, noting: "Thankfully we understand that the bus was empty at the time."
Police confirmed there were no reported injuries.
The road was closed at Fauldhouse railway station as clean-up crews dealt with the mess. It has since reopened.

West Lothian Council said Network Rail was called to assess the bridge for any structural damage, with trains said to be operating as "normal".
A Network Rail spokesperson later confirmed there was "no significant damage to the bridge".
