Man swept into sea off Anglesey named - as coastguard ends search

A man who was swept into the sea off the coast of Wales has been named - as the coastguard ended the search for him.
Gareth Bowen, 46, was reported to have entered the water from rocks in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, just after 7pm on Saturday.
North Wales Police said he has not been found despite a search which involved multiple agencies over the weekend.
The coastguard's searches in the area have now come to a close, the force added.
In a statement, Mr Bowen's family thanked emergency services who were involved in the operation to find him.
His mother Lorraine said: "Our family are extremely grateful for the searches and effort undertaken by all of the agencies involved in the searches to find Gareth since Saturday evening."
A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said its search was stood down shortly before 4pm on Sunday.
"An HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter was sent from Caernarfon as well as RNLI lifeboats from Treaddur Bay," the spokesperson said.
"Coastguard Rescue Teams were involved from Cemaes, Holyhead, Moelfre, Penmon and Rhosneigr. The search was stood down shortly before 4pm."
