Fireworks have lit up the AG百家乐在线官网 above Hawaii as the island entered 2025. 

It's one of the last places in the world to celebrate the new year, with only a couple left in 2024. 

Over the next few hours, Nieu Island in the South Pacific and Baker Island in the central Pacific Island will finally welcome the start of 2025. 

  Around the world 2025 has been welcomed with fireworks, pop stars and, most importantly, Paddington Bear.

Here is a quick glance at the best New Year celebrations from across the globe.

As the final cities across the world welcome the start of a new year, someone has to do the cleaning up, and there's a lot of it.

People have taken to the streets in Germany to clear litter, while in New York, tonnes of confetti is being swept away.

Las Vegas has become the latest place to celebrate the new year.

The city in the US state of Nevada brought in 2025 with fireworks launched from the rooftops of casinos.

An estimated 340,000 people are believed to have shown up on the iconic strip in the entertainment capital of the world.

Midnight has also officially struck in other states including California, Washington and Oregon. 

In Pasadena, California, people have camped out to grab the best spots to watch the annual Rose Parade - a New Year's Day tradition which sees extravagant floats parade along Colorado Boulevard.

Hawaii and Alaska are the last two remaining US states still in 2024, and are due to ring in the new year around 9-10am UK time.

As the rain came down in New York, thousands of people stuck it out until midnight to celebrate the start of 2025.

Confetti also showered the crowds, who were pictured wearing hats, cheering and singing along to Frank Sinatra's version of New York, New York.

Mexico City is officially in 2025.

Crowds gathered near the Angel of Independence landmark in the centre of the city as a light show brought in the new year.

Other parts of the country will strike midnight at around 7am UK time.

Parts of South America and US states including Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois and Louisiana, which are in the Central Time Zone, are also into the early hours of 1 January.

American Samoa will be among the last to welcome 2025, a full 24 hours after New Zealand. 

The clocked has ticked past midnight on the east coast of the US - with thousands of people having gathered in Times Square in New York to celebrate the start of 2025.

Crowds cheered and couples kissed when a crystal-covered ball weighing almost six tons descended down a pole in the square to signal the beginning of the new year.

The Times Square celebrations also included musical performances by TLC and Jonas Brothers. 

Fireworks have exploded in the AG百家乐在线官网 over Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro as Brazil bursts into the new year.

More than two million people were expected to descend on the beach to witness the spectacle. 

The next country to welcome in 2025 will be Brazil at 3am UK time - with more than two million people expected to gather at Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach for the celebrations.

Thousands of tourists in cruise ships will also witness the show up close, with performances by superstar Brazilian artists such as pop singer Anitta and Grammy-award winner Caetano Veloso.

Those gathered will also get enjoy to no less than 12 straight minutes of fireworks when the clock strikes midnight.
